  • Cattle Breeding

    Establish a model Cattle Breeding Centre that would focus on genetic improvement of local Nigerian cattle herds through Artificial Insemination with desired genetics from imported Boran and Tulli cattle breeds

    Import Boran and Tulli cattle breed semen from East and Southern Africa.

    Select and bring-in to the Breeding Ranch 100 local mother cows of desired genetics (in open grazing operation)

    Set-up Processing & Handling Corrals to improve genetics of Cattle herd through artificial insemination

    • Set up a model cattle artificial insemination laboratory as the centrepiece of the breeding centre
    • Organize Training Programs in cattle Artificial Insemination focusing on;
      • Insemination Techniques,
      • Semen handling (Retrieving Semen, Tank Management, Thawing Procedures etc),
      • Reproduction Management (Estrous detection, herd health etc )
    • Establish fully Irrigated Pastures to achieve all-year round grazing.
      • Requirement is for 150 hectares.
    • Set-up Health Clinic for health-care and innoculations
    • Provide Ranch staff accommodation

    Cattle Fattening Services would be supported with the establishment of a sizable Feed-Mill (and associated storage facilities) to handle harvested grain in appropriate rations for the livestock feed.
